Franco, what a disappointing and completely unavoidable way for our U13 girls to end your tournament. The rules clearly state no more than 18 on a roster and players must only play for one team. Northwind was given a pass on both of these items. If exceptions were approved prior to the tournament, then both Northwind and you knew the possibility of this scenario playing out once the brackets were set. It seems reasonable that you could have approached Northwind after Saturday's games and explained they would be required to play the championship game should they win Sunday morning. If they are unable to play or choose not to play, then they receive a forfeit. Instead, their one roster was allowed to walk away with both 1st and 2nd place medals and our girls were denied an opportunity to play a championship game. That’s ridiculous! There were plenty of opportunities to avoid this situation. It's hard to believe this scenario wasn’t even considered until coach and I inquired about it. Certainly not what we expect or any team deserves from a top tier tournament event.
The facilities are beautiful, parking and local accommodations are great.
